Q: Can I see the masks in person?
Yes - whilst available. The seven masks can be viewed at The Atlantis Bookshop, 49a Museum Street, London, WC1A 1LY. Tel: 020 7405 2120 or contact atlantis@theatlantisbookshop.com
No. Only seven masks have been produced in this first series and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q: If a mask is sold, can I order a copy?
No. It is my intention to produce further masks in future, as time and inspiration permit, but each will be made as an 'original' work of art.
Q: Can I commission a new mask?
Yes. Commissions are welcome. I am very happy to create personalised masks combining the various techniques and motifs used in this intiial series of seven or others at your suggestion. Personal sigils can also be discussed as part of an agreed design.
Q. How much will a commission cost?
That depends on the complexity of the work involved. The prices of the intitial seven masks give you a good indication of the range of costs for the various techniques used.
Q: How do I commission a new mask?
In the first instance, Geraldine & Bali Beskin at The Atlantis will be very happy to advise you. You can also contact me directly at info@themagicalmandarin.com to agree a design.
Q: Can I meet you?
I am presenting a short illustrated talk on the masks at The Moot With No Name on Wednesday 20th July 2011. I will be very happy to meet you and answer any questions at that event. This weekly forum is held on the first floor of The Devereux Arms just off the Strand in Central London. Further information can be obtained from The Atlantis Bookshop.
If you are unable to attend the Moot or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at info@themagicalmandarin.com
